Hello All,

Since July 6th we've been getting emails from NVC. My wife and I did our part by Emailing the AOS, DS-260 and its supporting documents. My question is, what is all these emails that says:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your correspondence.

We received electronic documentation for this case. Please allow up to 20 business days from the day the email was sent for the scanned attachments to be uploaded to the electronic case file and reviewed.

IMPORTANT:

Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

As this case is processing electronically, all forms and documents must be sent via email as scanned attachments to NVCElectronic@state.gov . Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case."

Then few days latter we see other emails that says:

"We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant

visa. Please review the information listed under each applicant's name and provide any documents

which are indicated as missing or need additional information. You must submit the required

information. Failure to provide the requested information will delay your immigrant visa interview.

Please read the enclosed information to determine where to send all required copies of missing

documents. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please call the National Visa Center at (603)

334-0700 between the hours of 7:30am and midnight ET."

The attachment file says:

"INSTRUCTIONS FOR: My Name

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

For electronic processing, all forms and documents that we request and require from you should be scanned and e-mailed to

NVC as Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The documents should be sent as attachments with your e-mail

response and not in a web file. NVC is unable to process documents submitted in web files. Forms and documents should not

be mailed through the postal service. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the Consular officer at

the visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a

visa for the sponsored applicant. Any questions regarding your petition should continue to be directed to

NVCElectronic@state.gov.

PLEASE NOTE: No interview will be scheduled until ALL of the information requested has been emailed to the National

Visa Center.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s

supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be

reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.

To view which documents the applicant must submit to the NVC, please go to:"

Then we added more documents eventhough we didn't know what they were asking. Few days latter the same things happened and we kept thinking we are missing some more documents and kept resending (we even rescanned everything with case number on top of documents). Everytime we call NVC, they just tell us to give it 20 days(under review), but what about this other emails we kept getting even after we submitted the supporting documents?? Is this common things that happens or they are telling us that we are missing something and we can't figure it out?? Please help!!NVC told us today not to send anymore emails to them :)

have you sent them the marriage certificate? I think that is what the "civil documents are."

I would wait a week and then call the NVC again. Sometimes the people there just give you the standard wait 20 day answer. I wouldn't wait. I called the NVC quite a bit when we were in that stage of the game.

The e-mail is probably a standard robot reply for each time you sent your stuff. If they are missing anything, they will give you a letter that outlines what they need. The reply you are getting now is to vague.
