Good day, everyone!

My name Is Jan.This is my first time to post in the forum but I always go to this site for guidelines especially when it come to K1- AOS. We had our initial interview with regards to our application for adjustment of status last August 17, 2006 at the Portland office. The consul or interviewer told us to mail the additional evidence needed directly to him, rather than mailing it to US Homeland Security as stated in the noticed I recieved last July 6. We mailed the additional evidence requested for the I-485 last August 21, 2006 visa USPS. I am worried because it is already October and we did not get a receipt of the documents, like when we did before. I want to know if for additional evidence submitted, do they issue receipt of documents? I still didn't get any sort of notice from USCIS/ Homeland Security. How long do I have to wait. What is the normal waiting period for the approval and issuance of the 2 year CPR, after interview.

Please, anyone, I need you help and advice! That would lessen my hypertension, allergies, etc.

I couldn't move on without the approval especially when it comes to employment, although I have my employment authorization card already.

Thank you very much and more power to all!

Sincerely, Jan

Pls. email me in belladona_ph@yahoo.com

I would make an INFOPASS appointment if I were you. Our interview was on August 1st and we were given an RFE at our interview as well along with a special envelope from our interviewer to mail back the things required which we went away and did on the same day. We never heard if they recieved them or not so about 3 weeks ago we made an appointment for an INFOPASS and although at the time I didn't think it was worth it the woman said that she would send off a request for information on our case. Last week we got emails to say that our case had been approved and that a welcome letter was on the way. I got the welcome letter on Monday this week then today I got my Green Card in the mail.

Good luck,

Debby
