Please, help N400

Hi everybody! Here is my situation briefly. I've been married to USC for almost 6 years now. I am getting ready to file n400. The only thing I am worried about is my days out of the country. I was out of the USA for 840 days (never longer than 6 months at a time) out of 5 years, all of these days pretty much during last 2.5 years. I was completing my undergraduate degree in Russia. My husband stayed here though all the time. Is it gonna be a problem during the interview? Maybe I need to get like a note from school saying that I was actually in school there for all of that time. Please need some advice. Don't know what to do...

I have the same issue with you too! Have you filed your application already?

Do you have any proof for reason you must stay in your country? (e.x. family emergence, disease history record) The note from your school might help too.

840 days is not so bad, you were in the US for more than half the time. (Five years=60 months, half of that is 30 months, approx. 900 days)

I think you are cutting it close, but you should be OK.

If you were gone for 5 months and then came to the US for a week or two and then left again, that could be a problem. Also if you are applying based on marriage, the fact that you spent so much time away from your husband could be a problem as well. I would wait.
