Hi everyone,

I have tried to get some input here , however I dont think too many ppl have brought children of your SO here to USA. So we tried the embassy for our questions "unsuccessful"

So we decided to schedule an info pass to find out which way we should go with bringing his son here...

My biggest question was ... Am I too file or my husband as the petitioner. They explanations are unclear too me. Plus we are worried it will take a prolonged amount of time if we do it the wrong.

Now also what should we bring to the appt ,I have never went to an info appt..

Thanks to everyone for their patients with my lack of knowing much...

have the uscitizen spouse file the I-130 as the petitioner. In the end, it will be a CR-2 visa.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

between 7 to 13 months, from start to finish. depends on the queues, at each stage, and how fast you run @ nvc.

If you married the child's biological parent before the child was 18 then you are considered a parent under immigration law, and can file a petition for the child.

I really have a problem with 'verb tense' with the OP. I can't tell what's prior, current, or future. Sorry.

Sorry, I read all kinds of english. Heck, mostly I write here utilising BAD english...

However - Time referrants are important.

To indentify what happened , in the past, prior to today, is useful, as

We can then understand where you are NOW, currently and then

give advice for what to expect in the future.

Is not any concept of 'proper english writing', at 100 percent.

Verb Tense, on the other hand, is mondo useful for anyone attempting to assist you.
