RFE taxes 2011

Hello,

Just got my RFE,

Submit a complete Federal Income Tax Return submitted to the internal revenue service from the petitioner on form I 864 for the most recent year 2011.

My question is I will fill 1040 and 2555 cause we lived abroad. Can I send copies of thoses form or do I have to wait to get the IRS transcript.

Cause they highlight you must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual tax return for the most recent year.

What did you send before? You can simply submit photocopies, but if you miss one sheet of paper, then you risk denial. There is only one chance (in most cases) to get an RFE right. If you sent in something thinking it was a complete tax return, and now you learn it wasn't right, I might not trust myself to send in a complete tax return a second time. A tax transcript is free and guarantees that your tax return info is complete.

If you didn't file then you might want to do that. I think they need to see on paper from the IRS that you didn't have to file due to overseas income? I would just go ahead and file the send copies of the return...Its quicker that way and you wouldn't have to wait very long to respond to RFE. Since your hubby met the income requirement, you should do less worrying

For sure I will fill next week. And I think I will have to wait to get the transcript, I just hope it will not take too long.

I am going for a job interview tomorrow morning and it will be to start August 21st.....

You can actually go to a local IRS office to request the transcript and they will print it off right away for you for free. But of course if you want to wait you could too.

I agree. You don't have to send transcripts. You can just send copy of your return. As in all the documents that you would receive from the Tax preparation place (turbotax, hr block..etc). That way you could mail to USCIS the same day you file....

Just a clarification here.

The tax return is the form that I will email to IRS?

So you are saying that I can just send a copy of my form that I will fill. Would USCIS take that ?

Please some advise......I should file this weekend so I need to know if I can mail it right away Monday....

So I will file.

But my question is can I just send copies of the filling papers which I never submitted cause I haven't filed yet. I just put wage and income transcript that don't show my foreign earning....

I don't know if it is very clear??

Well I sent a copy of my hubby w2 as well as a copy of his complete federal income tax return. You can decide though on which you wanna send. File right away. I don't know how long it will take to get transcripts after filing but I know you get a complete copy of federal and state tax return the day you file, and that's what I sent in. Either or should work though based on I-864 instructions.

Well we don't have any W2 as we were not in the States but I will e file and would love to send copies of everything. I really don't want to wait for the transcript cause I know it will be a while.

Did you efilled? We're you able to get complete copy yourself or did you have to go to the IRS?
