Hi Andrea,

Since you already had an interview before coming in, you might not actually need an interview. A friend of mine came in with a K1 and didnt need an interview when he got into the states. It would depend on USCIS anyway. I just had mine today though, but mine was an adjustment of status from a tourist visa, so its different from yours. The interview was so relaxed,I believe once its genuine and you have nothing hidden in the closet :) its easier to talk and be confident. Most of the times, they just want to see that the marriage is for real.

At my interview, they asked for pictures (particularly ones taken with other family members or friends).

She asked simple things such as the date we got married and where?.

The interviewer also wanted to see if we had documents in both our names. For e.g lease, bank statements, car insurance, health insurance etc

Hope this helps!!!

There are a lot of people who have been kind enough to leave their experiences. So just read through visa journey

Congrats dear and all the best with everything

Awww that would be awesome, but I thought that the k2 and k3 holder were the ones who hasn't need to have an aos interview. This is the first time heard the same from k1 visa holders. Yes, indeed, I had an interview in my home country, easy and smooth but a totally exhausting experience. When I was sending my package this morning, my husband and I looked at each other's eyes and we were like "Here we come again" HAHAHAHAHAH!!! But at least we are together! (L)

Thanks for sharing your experience, and yes I looked up for other experiences but I found topics were people get denied or some issues during the interview. I was like 'OKKK I don't need this right know" I read some because I think it's important to learn from other's experience even if that means "what NOT to do during an AoS interview"

Besides lease, car or health insurance, taxes and bank accounts what else can we bring to our interview? I'm doing a photo album with picture of our relationship, since we started dating until now, including pictures, letters and cards, from our engagement party and wedding. I'm making this because our wedding was really small, only the 2 of us because we got married on wednesday morning. Besides that my mom is going through a breast cancer treatment in our home country and I want to do something bigger when she fulls recover :)

:ot2: Besides of proof of our marriage what other documentation we need?

Many K-1 AOS applicants don't have interviews. If your I-485 is transferred to CSC you most likely won't have an interview. Most are transferred either to their local office for interview or to CSC for no interview within a month or two of filing. So you will find out fairly soon whether to expect an interview or not.
