Dear VJ'ers - This is my first post and share the huge pain all of us are going through to unite with our spouses. I have the following information from my NOA letter:

Check cashed: 16-May-2012

Priority Date: 11-May-2012

Notice Date: 15-May-2012

Last Updated: 15-May-12 - I am considering this from the "Last Updated" field on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/displayLogon.do (My Case Status).

My questions:

1) Is the NOA1, the Notice Date?

2) Is the "Last updated" field the "touch" that others have referred to on this forum?

3) If so, I have seen for most people who have shared this info on this forum that the last "touch" was a few days after their NOA1 date unlike my case. Is this significant in any manner?

I appreciate your feedback and good luck to all on your Visa journey!

1. Yes

2. Yes, it can be anything like movement of file from one desk to other.

3. No.... last touch matter after couple of weeks..... If you have a touch in say 60 days, then you may got some thing (Approval, hope not an RFE)

Good luck, you are just starting your journey, hang in there.
