Pelosi: Dems Should Skip Convention to Campaign

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says Democratic congressmen should shun the party’s convention, so that they can campaign in their home districts instead of spending Sept. 3-6 in Charlotte.

“I’m not encouraging anyone to go to the convention, having nothing to do with anything except I think they should stay home, campaign in their districts, use their financial and political resources to help them win their election,” she told Politico.

New York Rep. Steve Israel, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, made the same point last month.

Pelosi said that given the incumbency of President Barack Obama, House members don’t need to show up at the convention. “We nominated a president last time,” she said.

They have waited for nearly four years. I am sure they can sit on the couch eating free Tyson's fried chicken until the bus comes to take them to the polls in November to submit their pre-filled-out ballots, courtesy of SEIU and protected by the new and improved BP (not the oil company).

Maybe that is the reason Obama ordered those Canadian buses - they are designed with larger seats and extra suspension.

In fact Republicans have been complaining since 1860 that minorities won't get out and carve out a career for themselves. The first time one of them does it all the way to the very top, they complain about it !

So if the products of broken homes, single parent families, orphans, stay on the streets as bums - they are derided, and if they make it all the way to the presidency of the united states they are derided
