Postponing Biometrics for 10 months?

Last week ou friend who was agent called and said he got RFE on my name, but i havent seent it personally yet, he mentioned request for finantial info.

My question is - are all RFE letters standart or individual for every case?

If standart, they most likely want to see more personal evidence like photos, and probably new financial documents, since the ones i sent were of the last year.

ok here's my list of documents i plan to mail out Tuesday Sep 5

1) paper that came with RFE

2) Cover letter with our names, A number, case number and list of attached documents

3) taxes for 2006 (last year we sent only 2004-2005)

4) car DMV registration showing joint ownership

5) 2 our driver licenses showing same address

6) a rental agreement (we decided to ask my husband's grandma to sign it for us)

7) more joint credit cards

8) 6 credit card and cellphone bills on separate names but showing same billing address

9) boarding passes to trips

10) 8 photos of us together

any more ideas?

i will scan and post my RFE here tomorrow and add it to my timeline in signature

I mailed it yesterday, Sep 4th 2007, just 10 min before mail office closed , clerk said it's ok to request signature for PO box, so i did.

Here is final list:

1. Form I-797E Notice of Action Request for Evidence

2. Copy of joint 2006 Federal and State income tax returns

3. Copy of DMV car registration showing joint ownership

4. Copy of rental agreement showing joint tenancy

• Attached copy of cleared check for Aug 2007 rent payment

• Attached print out of Bank account activity for Aug 10 2007 – Sep 4 2007

5. Copies of statements for joint Bank of America checking account from October 7, 2006 till August 9, 2007 (total of 9)

6. Documents for proof of communal residence and commingling of financial resources

• Copies of additional 2 joint credit cards (in addition to 8 pair submitted in Oct 2006), copy of 2 Costco membership cards on same page

o Attached copy of statement for credit cards #1 showing same billing address

o Attached copy of statemet for credit cards #2 showing same billing address and 2 cards activity

• Copies of driver licences showing same address

• Retirement Account Statements showing same address

7. Traveling documents (as proof of travelling together):

• Boarding passes for trip out of US

• Boarding passes for trips back to US

• Receipts from vacation trip togeter

8. Envelope with 8 photos with comments on the back of each photo

I think i sent a lot, but reason for RFE is that it's been sent year ago and then i was out of country for 10 months, so US CIS wants to see proof we are still married and live together,

we have 7 year age difference, i heard they send more RFEs and request interview if difference is over 15 years...

So our RFE docs were received at USCIS on Sep 5 - that's 9 days ago and there was NO "TOUCH" in our case, should i start worrying?

now this is getting scary - they sent me second biometrics appointment to my friends (my old mailing) address dated Sep 18 tellng me to come Oct 16

called 800 uscis # - lady said she thinks it's because they want to issue me temporary extension :blink: ???

no "touch of case yet since adress change on Aug 24, i hope thy didnt loose it with my ol biometrics of Aug 4

Forgot to add that i went to Infopass on SEP 19 2007 in Downtown LA and got stamp that my status is valid till SEPTEMBER 18 2008 - THAT IS ONE MORE YEAR!

Update on my case:

called 800 misinformation line Friday Sep 21 - was told to go to biometrics

was reading visajourney - found about biometrics walk-in experience

called same line Monday Sep 24 to ask if it's possible to go earlier - answer was - any Wednesday,

LA Fairfax office is open Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm

planning to do walk in on soonest Wednesday possible

I just used a day counter http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html

and it appears to be total of 579 days or 19 month and 2 days of absence out of US,

which leaves me with less then 17 month of total in US residence on the date of 3 years since GC.

so i got concerned about my Naturalization eligibility, as i have only 17 month instead of 18 of US residency, but here's a positive answer:

have been a Permanent Resident in continuous residence for 3 years minus 90 days. You may send your application before you

have met the requirement for continuous residence only. Therefore, you must still have been married to and living with your U.S.

citizen spouse for 3 years before you may file your application. You must also meet all the other eligibility requirements when

you file your application with USCIS.

Oct 20, 2004 - Conditional GC

Sep 2006-Aug 2007 - Left the US

Oct 12 - I-751 receipt in California SCand check cashing day, check (on Bank's website) had a temporary case number nadwritten on the front which was not online

Nov 1 - Got NOA 1 (here is scan) , dated Oct 26, status exten. 1 yr, with different case #, which WAS online, last touch - Oct 17

Nov 4 - Got Biometrics letter (here is scan), dated Nov 1, appointment on Nov 15

Nov 8 - Called US CIS - was told to follow instructions in the letter to reschedule on "Next Available Saturday" and mail it BEFORE apointment day, no limit of rescheduling times. Mailed the form back.

Nov 2006 -Juy 2007 - has been rescheduling biometrics for following 8 months, every new date was 2 weeks later.

July 24, 2007- got biometrics letter for Aug 4

Aug 4 - did biometrics (code 2)

Aug 6 - case "touched" first time since Oct 17

Aug 13 dated RFE (scan and list of documents is here)

Aug 24 touch - change of address (?)

Sep 4 - mail RFE back

Sep 19 -Infopass - stamped - extention till sep 18 2008

Sep 21 got SECOND BIOMETRICS LETTER (code 1) dated SEP 18 FOR OCT 16 2007

continuing the list:

Sep 27 second biometrics walk-in

the sign on the wall said - by appointment only, but securiry gentleman was ok with it (he has shaved bold head, cant remember his name on tag) and processed me as if i had appointment, which is

1) fill an easy 1 page form (dont forget to bring your SSN number)

2) get a waiting number

3) once you see your number on screen - go and get fingerprinted

whole thing took like 20 minutes.

still no touch since August 24th, i guess my address change back in AUgust 23 somehow messed up online reporting and touching, cuz after first biometrics case was toutched second day.

but they sent me biometrics AFTER the address change so it means my case isn't totally lost, i hope.

FINALLY!!! just got an e-mail 7 am this morning!!! after almost a month since Biometrics and 1,5 months since RFE

(when do they come to work at Laguna Niguel - 6 am????)

That also creates a precedent of case when a Conditional Permanent Resident was abroad for 10 months while removing case pending and was rescheduling biometrics,

but still got approved with just RFE and 2 Biometrics, no interview
