Hey all!! I received the best news last night that our I130 has been approved by USCIS. Now I'm ready to begin the next step so I can have everything prepared. I just have one question right now. I have seen that some people mentioned sending in an employment letter with their I-864 however, I have not seen this as a requirement anywhere. Is it necessary to send an employment letter or are just my pay stubs enough? Just wanted to make sure I have everything together and ready to go when it's time to send it in. Also, when do I need to send the copy of the I130 packet to my foreign spouse? Thanks for all your help!!

Congrats!!!

Regarding the employement letter, i will agree with you its not necessary as long as you have your pay stubs.. I would recommend sending her the I-130 packet sooner rather than later. When we got married, I already had all of the documents ready and provided her with the copy. I would strongly recommend it..

Good LUCK!!

Contratulations! Do pay stubs even need to be sent in on the first submission? Normally, just send in the latest US tax return and then wait to see what else they want in their list of docs. The most recent tax return and income for the past three years on the I-864 form was all we needed. They never asked anything more of us even though I was unemployed 3 years ago and had no income. The previous 2 years income was enough for them.

Done: I-130/CR-1, I-751/ROC

Done: I-327

I would recommend you send your employment letter too. It helps. trust me. some one had an experience and the salary on the pay stubs originally submitted and the new pay stubs were different. he was promoted thats why the new stubs are higher and the job title chnaged. they would not issue visa. he had to get a fax sent to the embassy from the employer to explain the cnhage in salary and title. luckily he was there. having more informatio is better than RFE for additional information.
