I had a question. My Fiancee and I will be getting married on September 28th, I got my passport, plane ticket and everything now it is time for me to send my visa papers to be approved for a Tourist visa. On there being that I am a tourist, should he write me a letter of invitation or would my hotel reservation be enough. I have so much to do when I get there his sister is making my wedding dress and so much is going on. But I want to make sure I put the right information on my tourist visa so that it will not be denied. We have waited so long to see each other and it is time. Please help :hehe:

The first time I went (2010), I sent my hotel reservation as proof of where I was staying. No invitation letter was needed. The second time I applied I had an invitation letter as we didn't stay in a hotel this time around. When you go to the website to fill out your form it should tell you what is required to file for the visa.

Don't forget to register your trip details here:

And congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Happy married life! :)

It doesn't seem like it. Somehow there are a lot of woman that just love going and marrying strangers.

Wow. Seems like a recipe for disaster.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

It is, not many of the Nigerian couples make the 3rd aniversary. It is a terribly different culture, so even the most honest of couples have their days. Add that to the number of scammers who use the USC woman as a stepping stone to entry to the US. I am willing to bet that Nigerian/US couples have the worse success rate by a large percentage. Marrying someone you have spent a week with face to face EVER is not an ingrediant for a long and happy union.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yes, we have met he has family here in Texas that own an African market. I have known him over a year longer than most people who meet in a club and who decide to marry or sleep with them in one night. My father is Ghanaian, I am fluent in Yoruba and was raised as a traditional Afrcan. I can also speak Igbo and Hausa. My father moved us here to the US when I was a child, so my African roots are strongly bound.....The creator just created me a spouse who could better serve me as to what I am accustomed to...As far as the marriage rates and the statistics that were given American citizens marriages aren't that sucessful either...So in my opinion things happen for a reason, season or a lifetime...No one crosses your path by change and when something is ordained by faith you just know...also I work with my intuition and if something feels wrong I go with my gut...Be blessed and I thank you for your concerns....O dabo.....
