I can guess. Iv'e read a few of the post in the apple forum on tomshardware and when you ask one of them what they like about their apple the always revert to the "feel and looks" of whatever apple ripoff product their referring to. What's ironic is that apple doesn't support innovation like MS products. No open source with apple. Linux yes, MS somewhat, and apple...it is what it is.

And they preach how glad they are to live in the walled garden. Apple products just work. I don't need to think for myself. Steve knows what's best for me.

Sure. The way cheap, fast food is to their health. Everything comes with a price. The idea that we have cheap things to our benefit has been proven a failure as the charts clearly show for anyone who isn't blind.

I grew up poor I wore hand me downs for most of my childhood. This is something you seem never have gone through. There is a great deal of dignity for a child to walk into a classroom the first day of school wearing new clothes like the rest of his classmates. Walmart makes that possible for many of the poor children in this country. I just wish walmart was around when I was young.

Some certainly post as if they were, don't they? What I'd like to know is what is the total net worth of all Americans. That 42% figure is quite sobering, and that has nothing to do with the Walton's or WalMart. It's frightening that you can take that large of a segment of the population and only come up with $80 billion. The disparity between the wealthy and poor is enormous and doesn't bode well for the long term future of the country. IMHO.

Exactly. They should use their money so more people don't have to work. That would give them more time to perfect their criminal skills. Too many dumb criminals today.

It comes at a cost. Walmart pioneered many practices that increased efficiency of retail businesses, while it made products cheaper, it also eliminated jobs and pushed wages down.
