Hello, I know that about police clearance been ask many times, Thanks for the help in advance.

My question is, is this the police clearance from our local police station or the one from RCMP ? Do i need to have my finger print?

K1 Visa.

Service Center : Vermont Service Center

Consulate : Montreal, Canada

I-129F Sent : 2012-01-26

Interview Date : 2013-03-04

Visa Received : 2013-03-11

US Entry : 2013-05-02

Marriage : 2013-05-13

EAD/AP

May 24.2013 (Day 1 ) Mailed may 24, 2013

May 28 .2013(Day 4 ) Recieved: may 28 and 30, 2013( AOS,AP,EAD online and text)

June 27.2013(Day 34 ) Biometric: june 27 walked in ,(scheduled july 2.)

July 26.2013 (Day 58 ) EAD/AP approved Card in Production (july 26)

August 3.2013(Day 65 ) EAD/AP card recieved ( aug 3)

topics like this do not get many replies as the question has been asked a zillion times and a quick search would find your answer--not trying to be rude, but thats just the way it is.

It doesnt matter if its done by the RCMP or city police or the commisionaires as long as its done CANADA wide and in all the names you have used.

No criminal record = no fingerprinting.

The time/cost/appearance all varies. Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
