Thanks once again JC. I'm putting together the application and documents now, just waiting for them to send back the supporting documents. The email they sent me came with a cover page they said to attach to supporting docs and app, but i also generated one when i paid for the visa application fee. Does it matter which one i use address is the same the only difference is the email they sent me said "attn. DR" and the one i generated said "attn. CMR". Does anybody know if there is a fee during the interview as well?

Unless the delivery of visa/packet is not included in the visa fee that you paid already. In the US Embassy, Philippines, it is included. I think you should go visit the US embassy site where your mom/parents are going to have the interview.

Have anyone of you had to file form I-864A? I-864A is a form one uses when s/he will use income of someone in his/her household to help him/her meet the Federal poverty guidelines requirement. The reason I ask is that I wanted to know whether I should pay another $88 for the I-864A on top of the one I pay for the I-864. Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone!!

Question... my mum's I-130 has been approved and we have received correspondence from the US Department of National Visa Center re appointing an agent but in the letter it self it states that if the applicant intends to adjust status with USCIS to contact the NVC. My mom would have to adjust her status with the USCIS because she is illegally in the states. Would that be correct? Further, I'm preparing her I-485 what sort of documents should she provide that she is eligible for permanent resident. Birth certificates with same last names, what else?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Its been a while since the last time i was on here, but i'm still waiting for them to schedule an interview for my parents. Its been almost two months already and no emails or anything. I think there must be a backlog of interviews because it shouldn't take this long according to peoples timelines, but different countries may have different waits. Anybody on the same boat?

Hello. i dont know what is wrong but I have sent NVC DS230 with the civil docs. A month later, I received a checklist that I need to send them DS260 and I did. And just earlier this morning I received the same email and asking for another DS260... I think I am lost. It's been a year now since I sent my moms application :(

You don't send the DS260, you fill them out online at the CEAC website. They did not ask for the civil docs because you have previously sent them with the DS230.

Hello everyone,

If someone can help me with the Supplement A Form. Here is the story, my mom's I-485 was approved after her finger prints. Right after they sent a Request for Initial Evidence (I485). I gather all the information they requested and included a check for $1,000.00 to cover the surcharge fee because she came into the country illegally. About two weeks after submitting the Supplement A we get another letter Requesting for Initial Evidence (I485), requesting more documents and stating the following: "You submitted Supplement A to Form I-e85 Adjustment of Status under Section 245(i). However, you failed to submit the proper surcharge fee with your Supplement A application." and some other stuff but the thing is that we submitted the $1,000.00 surcharge fee and I have proof in my checking account of it being taken out, I don't have proof of the check because USCIS does an electronic funds transfer. We called NCSC and they said to write a letter explaining what happened with proof BUT they also requested that we show proof that the application fee for I-485 be shown. Does anyone know why they would ask for the fee again or was this a mistake on their part? What worries me is that if I write a statement they might deny my moms application because no fee was included. When we called the service center they said to include proof that it was paid and also proof that I-485 Application was also paid completely. I can't comprehend how this mistake would happen or if this is another way of us paying an extra $1,000. =//

Besides that, I'm not sure what I should write explaining what happened. If anyone can give me any tips that would be great.
