Greetings all,

I am very happy to find this friendly forum! Let me go straight to the point. I am US Citizen (25) who has been in a rapidly growing love relationship with this beautiful girl (22) who is visiting her sister (US Citizen) in US. This is her second trip to the states (first one was last summer on B2 visa, second one is now on extended B2). I've known her since last year, but we've been together for a month seeing each other every day and spending a lot of time together. It couldn't have been any better, except she is going back to her home country in a few weeks to finish college. I plan to bring her back to US in January or February 2013 to stay with me for 3 months on another or extended B2. She will be writing her thesis paper (dissertation) for college while she stays here. The topic is related to US anyways, and I doubt she will have any problems getting her visa extended again, since she will be forced to return back to graduate.

This is where I ask for advice. Ideally, I would want her to come back to US for good once she graduates. Once here, she will be continuing her education while staying with me. What is the best way to achieve that? Here are some options I can think of, and I would really appreciate if you could comment on them and let us know what to expect:

* Her sister could apply her for F-41. That would take 10+ years and she probably won't be able to visit US during this time. This won't work for us, right?

* She could start applying to colleges while on B2 early 2013. This way she could get a student visa to continue education in US. This would give us enough time to settle down and get to know each other better.

* I could pop the question during her B2 visit early 2013 and depending on answer - marry her in Russia or USA. Then we could apply for CR-1, but even that would take 1 year of separation, right? That's a little too much =(

Any suggestions or comments?

Thank you all so much for any input or shared experience!!!

This sounds like a good plan. She could get a student visa in Russia, come back as a student and see where your relationship goes.
