Hi:

I sent my I-751 at the end of May 2006. Of course, I didnt get the NOA for a while, and then I called the hotline and they resent it. I got my stamp meanwhile, by making an Infopass appointment, I just wanted to know when to expect an answer. On the NOA is says that the RECEIPT DATE is June 19, but the NOTICE DATE is August 20.

Anyone has any idea which one is the date that I should look for on the uscis page for processing dates?

Also, on the uscis page it list that they are now processing April 11 applications(Vermont Center). Is that true? Or they are a little ahead in reality, but late in updating the page?

Thanks a lot.

1. On our NOA, it doesn't even list a receipt date, just the notice date. That struck me as odd. When I called the USCIS, they told me my reciept date was 18 August, but our notice date is 26 Sep.

2. The USCIS recently changed their policy as far as processing date. They used to post the date of the files that they were currently processing. They will still do that if the date they are processing is outside the "goal" for that type of form. If they are processing inside that goal, they will only post the date based on the goal date. The goal for I-751 is 6 months, therefore you will only know if they are behind schedule. If they are at or ahead of schedule, the processing date will be 6 months prior to the date of the list.

Alchemist,

The processing queue is based on the Recipt Date.

The Notice Date only tells you when they printed and mailed the notice.
