Hi

I am new to this forum and this is my first post so I hope it is in the right spot!!! :)

My boyfriend is flying from London to see me in Seattle and he is connecting through Minneapolis. He has never been to the US before but I have been to see him.

He is staying 83 days in the US and is bringing a bank statement to prove he can support himself while he is here, some utility bills and a counsel tax statement.

I am wanting to know if he would have any problems getting through Minneapolis CBP, and if anyone has any personal experiences travelling on a VWP through MSP.

Thanks!!!

Denise

I've never flown through MSP, but I don't see him having too many issues. I've entered the US on the VWP before staying 88 days. I was asked a few questions like where I was staying and what I did back home but never had to show any proof or anything.

If he has a "good story" he should be fine. They may question him on the fact that he has a gf in the US though - Basically their main fear is that he'll enter, marry you and never leave - Which is considered immigration fraud if it's the intention from the get go. If they aren't convinced he's not planning to do that, they can and most likely will send him back to the UK.

My best advise is to be 100% honest when answering questions. There's no need to volunteer information, just don't lie if being asked a question directly.
