Today I was so surprised to get a text & email about my AOS case, saying that my husband and I were to have our interview on August 20.

I filed in May 31, completed my biometrics only 12 days ago.... I expected to here about my travel and work authorization before my interview date???

I feel like this is really fast (yay?) Hopefully this is not a mistake or something.

Any comments or ideas?

Originally moved from AOS from Family Based Visas forum to AOS/Family Based Progress Reports. Moved to AOS from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas Progress Reports on 7/18. Latest move occurred because OP's information provided in post #4 indicates a concurrent filing of an I-130 and I-485.

Congratulations! Are you a previous visa holder? What is your case like? I filed beginning I may and still not word did biometrics exactly a month ago. I am not adjusting status with no previous visas or advanced parole.

Thank you!

Nope, I am not a previous visa holder.

Not sure what I should say to describe my case!... My then-boyfriend of 3 years & I decided to get married while I was on a trip to see him from Canada. I am now happily living in California, waiting for a SSN so I can start working & get a driver's license ASAP. My filing progress is in my signature.

Looks like I may have my greencard (if all goes well) before an EAD or anything else.

Good luck to you, Jessecah!

Ours is going fast like that too. I fully expected to get the EAD and be sitting and waiting for the interview, but instead we got the interview notification first. Seems like we're just going to skip the EAD part.

Speaking of that, our interview is a week away. :o
