Hi Everyone,

My fiancee and I are putting together our proof of our relationship. We already quite a few photos from our time together but we do not have many reciepts etc...

I was wondering if you have any advice about other ways we can show this. We have alot of emails back and forth. Does anyone have any advice on how best we could present the emails etc..

Any help or advice would be awesome.

Thanks so much.

David

I personally made a scrapbook for the pics. If u have skype/YM conversations u can print them with timestamps so they would now when and how often u talk. With Emails u will have to print each email and organize them according to dates and put it in a folder. :)

Just choose a sampling of emails that span your entire relationship. No need to print out all of them. Some people also show a print out of all the email details that show the subject, who it is from and the dates, as shown in your inbox.

Do you have stamps on passport, phone logs, money transfer, boarding tickets and etc.

Photos are good to include, but they aren't primary evidence. What La Negra listed is ideal for what to include with your petition package.

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012

Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

Ohh, right. If this is for the I-129F petition and not the K-1 interview, then yes, you need to show boarding passes and passport stamps to prove you were together in person in the last 2 years. The emails, phone logs and such are not really needed yet in that case.

We do not have boarding passes etc... We have lived together (not in same house) in the US for the past 2 years...

Then why are you filing a K-1?

Then provide proof that you have lived near each other and been together in person. That is what is important for the I-129F petition. You need to prove you have been together in person in the last 2 years and that you are both free to marry.

Because my visa is running out and we are headed back to Australia for a few months before coming back to the US for the wedding.

Include a photocopy of your stamps into the US and your visa. Why were you in the US? I ask because my husband and I lived together in Scotland and we included a copy of our degree certificates from the same university to help build a picture of us being in the same place at the same time. Do you have something like that? We also had a joint lease which we included and a couple of pictures of us with our families. Some people include receipts for things purchased together. Anything somewhat official with both of your names on it?

Do you already have a date for your wedding booked?

If so are you sure you have all the timings correct. There are some people on here who've found they underestimated the time it takes to get the K1 processed.

Are your travel plans already arranged? Your other option could be to marry and then adjust status while staying in the US. What visa have you been on for the last 2 years?

Best luck!

Its not very clear how will you manage your planned wedding and K1. We had to cancel our wedding even though we planned it 9 months in advance after filing K1.

I made a folder with primary evidence 1st. his passport stamps with this tickets, our financial investments, contracts of places we lived together and then pictures, letters from friends, skype, facebook and emails.

During our interview no one even open that file just asked me 2 questions and done!

Best luck.

I included 5-6 pictures, a few from each time that we visited with eachother. About 3 random months of phone records, a bit of our chat logs from Skype and MSN, Flight Itineraries from both of us including future flights that I had already purchased by the time i sent the petition in.

Oh! And I copied the stamps out of my passport and included those with the itineraries. I still have my boarding passess so I suppose i'll use those if needed at the interview.
