No permits.

i'm an illegal gun owner then as permits aren't required in kansas to own a gun, just to carry one concealed.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

u talking about gun violence is a problem.... and trying to project as an issue.

Lookup number of knife stabbing do you think thats a problem for US? Is the stabbing and knife violence an issue for UK?

What I am saying is there are some groups who love to make Gun violence sound as a big issue and its a fantasic topic which makes lot of ppl buy into their idea and hence think Gun violence is a big issue.

If you look at the major case, where the gun violence is involved it is not the legal gun owner its illegal gun owners.

Gun violence IS a problem. You can talk about other things like knives all you want, but you can't sit there and tell me gun violence is not an issue in this country. You're fooling yourself.

And like I said, it's both illegal and legal guns.

So you can spout your nonsense elsewhere if you'd like. You aren't going to convince me an issue doesn't exist just because you say so.

In 2010 - the latest year for which detailed statistics are available - there were 12,996 murders in the US. Of those, 8,775 were caused by firearms.

"illegal gun owners" ? Definition please.

Someone who cannot own the gun by law, someone who is non a perm resident or USC.

Someone who has mental problem and has been written up for it.

Someone who has been convicted of crime and cannot posses a firearm.

Someone where judge has issued an order and cannot and should not own a firearm.

Thats exactly the problem most other countries would not have these numbers, so just going and ranting that US has problem just does not make sense.

Does UK have the number for death by firearms?

I am talking about the US. That's where this story took place. That's where I live. That's where the majority of the people on this site live (or are moving to) ... so no, I'm not talking about other countries. I am specifically talking about the United States.

Saying other countries have a gun problem does not somehow magically mean the US does not.

You pointed me to link to Gurdian and number based on Gurdian which is UK based.

Definately it would be nice interesting front page news for them.... they would love to show these kinda number.

Just imagine going to work in morning and you see a copy of Gurdian with similar headlines, would you not purchase the copy to read?

What in the hell are you talking about?

Because it was a UK article, it's suddenly invalidated or false?

I am not saying its invalidated or false.... you posted about US and living in US in your post #50.

The article you posted was from UK.

What I m pointing to is that media does come up with attention grabbing headline statics something that would sell their product.

What I am pointing is they would not compare stats on stabbing or something coz most likely they would have very similar percentage in both the countries.

But it was ABOUT the United States.

I'm not talking about stabbing.

I give up with you.
