HI everyone,

Anyone got married to an american citizen while on a VIE program (French intern program)?

It seems like i'm not subject to the 2-year rule, but as VIEs seems to me to be "somewhat" subsidized by the French Government (tell me if I'm wrong, please!), therefore putting every French person under a VIE contract subject to that HRR rule (weather it says so on the DS2019 and visa or not).

Anyways, please let me know if you have any info regarding this situation, or if you know anyone who did get married to a US citizen and did the AOS, while in contract with UBIFRANCE (VIE program administrative "company")

Thank you very much for your help!!

PS: My visa ends at the end of August, which is too soon from now for me to ask the american administration about my status - it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get an answer - I'd become illegal by then. Which would be ok if I'm not subject to the 2-year rule, but it would maybe get me in trouble if I am…)

Hopefully, someone know someone who did it already! That would be awesome!

Thanks again!
