I've looked all over this site. I know I've seen it before somewhere but I can't find it.

I want to talk to a live person to check if I was approved last week but not updated on the site or e-mail.

The automated system doesn't work.

Thanks if you can help.

day 226

Gonna try again.

There is no contact number for the CSC directly. If you call the USCIS Customer Service Line at 800-375-5283 you may be able to get help ONLY because you are now beyond their standard processing times over 60 days since RFE was received and over 6 months since your petition was received.

If they are unwilling to help you (they never helped me but I wasn't as overdue as you), you should call your US Representative's office. You can get that info online at http://www.house.gov/Welcome.shtml and they should have someone who can ask the CSC about your case. You will need to fax them a letter with your case identification info and processing dates. Your case MAY be approved already (mine was and the system doesn't reflect it) but if you don't have a NOA2 letter, you should take action. Talk to someone at your US Representative's local office.

thanks Eric, i finally punched the right numbers to get a real person. I just remember a post that had the order to punch numbers lol.

I'm on hold right now.

I did call my Rep's office this morning again, they did an inquiry 3 weeks ago for me but says she can't do anything else until 30 days have gone by again!! She's a friggin #######! I've been as nice as can be but she still treats me like 'how dare I question her and the govt'. She talks down to you like you're an idiot, even though I know she's said incorrect things about fiancee visas. She doesn't want to hear anything about other people's petition's and just blew off the data I gave her from VJ.

I wish I could talk to my congressman face to face, he's actually pretty decent. He needs to shiit can her azz though.

I called my Senator's office this morning again. See if they are any more help. Get something going with them also.

Well just got off the phone and they'll contact me within 30 days LOL wait for them to pull their head out of their #######!!

I didn't get anything in the mail today either. I'm in Michigan. Where are you? How long did it take CSC to get it in the mail stream?

thanks

Gonna try again.

I'd be very angry too in your shoes. I'm in California and received my NOA2 letter a week after the approval date. Michigan isn't likely to take any longer. I have seen a number of people reporting that they were approved and the online system didn't reflect it.

But until you have that NOA2 in hand, it's time to pull out all stops. The timelines that USCIS Customer Service gives are a joke. They will probably get an answer to you in a week, not a month. I just wouldn't count on it being a helpful answer.

I agree with contacting your Senator's office. Move on ALL fronts. You might want to visit your representative's office in person. People are often friendlier face-to-face. Even the USCIS's own report says they are approving April petitions and VJ confirms that it's really March through August.

Finally, there's the Infopass option. You can make an appointment within a few days via the USCIS website. You can talk to an Immigration Officer there who should also be able to make an inquiry.

I would press on with the Representative and Senator's offices as your most effective actions.

Good luck Hornet!!
