police certificate for USC? (DCF London)

Hello out there.

This page seems pretty unclear to me. http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html

I was surprised to read that I (the USC) needs my birth certificate, and they seem vague about whether or not I need a police cert.? Or is that just for the foreign spouse?

Is there a an actual form with a checklist, like there is for the I-130?

No there isnt a check list. Just print off that page and mark it yourself. For the interview, you need to take all of the forms it says (originals) and a photocopy of each for them to keep. Ive not got to the interview yet but i will take my husbands birth certificate just to be on the safe side. Hopefully somebody else can come along and tell you about that who has had experience.

If you filed DCF London, then the list of documents on that page is what the UKC takes to the interview. Read the list as addressed to the one(s) getting the visa. Sometimes whole families are getting visas. The only thing the USC provides is an Affidavit of Support. Some documents won't apply to everybody...like military records or adoption papers for example.
