My fiance is from Belarus but will eventually have to travel to Warsaw Poland for her K-1 interview. We are trying to do anything and everything possible before that time comes. I thought she would be able to have her police report taken care of prior to getting the interview date but according to this http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Poland&cty=Warsaw it appears that the police certificate form will be sent with packet 3. Am I understanding this correctly that there is no way to take care of this prior to packet 3 sent? If it is possible, where could I find this form? Thanks in advance.

Based on the information at the bottom of the page on this link http://minsk.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas.html

your fiancee should be able to get her police certificates now. I think any reference to this in packet 3 is for you to know that these clearances are needed.

My wife completed the visa process last year, so I don't know if anything has changed since then. She got her police certificate as soon as we received the NOA2, and had it translated. If I recall, packet 3 contains the instructions on how to get the police certificate, and also a check list. The one sent to Belarus to your fiancee(?) will be in Russian (I used the one in English for my wife when we faxed and email it to the Warsaw embassy-see link).

To get an appointment, we completed the instruction sheet, part 1 for form DS-230, and a scanned translated copy of the police certificate. We did both faxing and emailing. Email worked better, because the embassy replied back with an appointment date and time (it took a week). My wife then got an official letter, and used that to get a Schengen visa to Poland. I was able to be with her during the interview.

You can pm me if you want to know more about our journey/process.

Goodluck
