Hello everyone!

Ref: K1 visa

Our case was returned to the USCIS for "confirmation or re-affirmation". I have researched the meaning of it, and can't find a very clear answer. Does anyone know what it means.

Any information would be appreciate it!

Thanks,

D

Was your I-129F petition approved? If so, when?

There were petitions from the California Service Center that were incorrectly sent to the National Records Center instead of the National Visa Center back in May. That error was discovered and apparently, the petitions are being re-confirmed before being sent to the NVC.

Hello LeftCoastLady!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, my I-129F petition was approved on Feb 06, 2012. Sent to the NVC and forwarded to the American Embassy in Algiers. My fiance attended his interview on June 21st, 2012 and at the end of his interview he was handed a white paper ( 221g ) . He was told our case was being returned to the USCIS for further processing. I emailed the American Embassy last week asking what the letter meant. I received a reply this morning saying that it just meant that our case was returned to the USCIS for confirmation or re-affirmation. I am still not clear as to what " confirmation or re-affirmation" means? What does USCIS need to confirm or re-affirm?

Would appreciate it your input!

Thanks again,

D
