Yep. Getting one shows you intend to return. It does not mean you cannot still lose your GC if it is determined you haven't been meeting the requirements. She needs to live in the US.

The re-entry permit would be for some legitimate reason to be out of the country such as finishing school, caring for a very ill close family member, etc., not just so she can live and run a business in another country. Either she wants to be a resident of the US, which means she has a residence, bank account, job perhaps, etc, and LIVES HERE, or she is not a resident in which case she will lose her green card.

in contrast to wat u guys are thinking on 'biz' i mentioned earlier, she's retired and not working, what i meant was she spend more time here especially in recent times cos of her family and 'other things', there was a time she spent over 10 months over there in a single yr. thank you guys for ur replies, i really appreciate it.
