After reading through a lot of people's experiences about this stage, it seems like the best way to get through the NVC process is to be persistent and call them until a case number is received.

Our NOA2 was sent on June 18, and the case was received on July 9. According to the operator I spoke with on the phone today, he said it would take up to 20 business days to create a case number.

Is that the case, or has anybody else heard the same thing?

Hi

We got approved last june 29 and they also told us that they recieve the papers from USCIS last july 9, but in my realization my mom got approved last july 6 and my sister call aswell to see if its already there and they told my sister the same thing, how come all papers approved before me and after me got in NVC all the same time july 9.... I dont know if the agents are lying or thats the spill that the NVC head told them to tell us..... This is really fustrating.... Ill appriciate more if they just tell us the truth rather than hoping to have it soon then its nothing..... God bless us all waiting.....

NOA2 on June 13th - NVC received my case on the 6th of July, I call every day to see if i have been assigned a case number & every day they tell me they have it in the building, it is being entered into the system & to allow up to 20 business days for my case number to be generated.

It is frustrating after such a long wait at CSC but i'm sure the case number will be generated any day now, just gotta hang in there :)

My NOA2 is on 7th June, 2012. NVC received it on July 2, 2012. I am too calling every day to get the NVC Case number. Operators at NVC memorized this sentence and say, "Please wait for 10 to 20 business days to enter into our system." - But, some of the people whose petition approved (California) after me got their case received at NVC, entered into the computer and obtained their NVC case number. I feel that if I dont get the number within next 3 or 4 days, subsequent process like case completion and (interview scheduling) will also be delayed....

You guys are scaring me here. I am waiting for the "recieved at NVC' . NOA2 on June 29th. Yet there are those 2 weeks week ahead of me who already got case numbers so I am hopeful.

I do find it odd it seems to be the CSC thats having the issues with Receive and Case numbers I wonder why??

Our NVC case number took 20 days exactly from the day they received the file.. that is 20 business days.. patience.. you are through the longest wait, NVC is fairly quick.
