Stamp on I-94

Hi everyone!

I would like to ask advice on anyone knowledgeable about the I-94 and I-20 forms.

I originally came to the United States with a H-4 Visa as my mother's dependent. During my status as a H-4 Visa holder, I attended a college. Eventually, however, I had to apply for a change of status to F-1 because I turned 21 years old. My family consulted with an immigration lawyer, and I did not have to leave the U.S. for reentry. I was just issued a new I-94 form stating my change of status and with a "DOS" date. My school also gave me my I-20.

I recently applied for a student job in my college, and I am scheduled to start working this fall semester. So, needless to say, I was told to apply for a SSN. This is where my problem begins... When I tried to apply for a SSN, the SSA representative asked me for my admission number and "stamp" on my I-20. The problem is my I-20 and I-94 was issued to me while I was already in the U.S. so my I-20 and I-94 never got stamped by an Immigration officer as they would upon entry to the U.S. Now, I'm worried that I may not be able to obtain a SSN on time, or at all, and be fired from my student job before I even start -_-;

Has anyone else faced a similar situation, or know someone who has?

I've tried asking my international student adviser from my college, but their office will be closed until Wednesday. I am not sure what to do, so I would really, really appreciate some advice.

If you need more information to properly give me advice, please feel free to ask.

Regards.

Not really much you can do, the DSO can do more. If SSN requires the I94 and I20 stamp then you're stuck until youc an speak to your DSO

Sorry, Good luck

you could try and make an infopass apt to get the stamp
