2. I only use one big envelope to house all the paperwork, and use paper clips/fasteners to hold the separate forms together. But in reality they take those out right away in the mail room I believe, and put it in their own format.

a. I believe the intending immigrant needs 7, and the petitioner only needs 1. Check the list I posted earlier. Someone please chime in if I am incorrect.

b. i have seen other VJers use tabs , etc. if it helps you to organize it, why not ? Ultimately you want to be comfortable with what you are sending.

c. I believe B/W copies are sufficient.

So, passport size photos break-up would be like:

2 for EAD(I-765)

2 for I-485

1 for G-325A each

1 for I-130 (petitioner) + 1 for Beneficiary

It doesn't matter what kind of envelope you use, they take it out right away to sort in their order. Just pick whatever makes you feel comfortable. Good luck!

I read somewhere that all signatures should be in BLUE. Is that right?

Where did you read that, Man I ll be screwed as I got signed all docs in black pen and explicitly asked wife and sponsor to sign in black. Does they mention anything about that on instruction page?

You don't have to sign in blue. I sometimes sign things in blue to prove it's a "wet" signature as opposed to a photocopy.

But we signed all our USCIS forms in black, no issue.

I do think they want any information you handwrite on the forms (as opposed to type) to be in black. Some of the forms are read by computers, so black works better.

I did not filled my form in all caps, would it be a issue? though I kept last name in caps and initial character in caps.

There's one or two forms that specifically say use caps. I'd have to go look. But I think the I-130 says last name in caps, which it sounds like you did.

On mine, if it didn't say to use caps, I didn't use caps.

Edit: I just flipped through our forms really quick. The I-130 and I-765 say to put your last name in caps, that's what I did. I used the I-864EZ, not the I-864, but I did it all in caps. I can't find it in the instructions, but I must have read it somewhere or I wouldn't have done it.

And it does say to use black ink.

I just noticed while reading the instruction on 864, I did not fill that in caps, would I get a RFE for that?

I probably edited my last post while you were typing...sorry.

I did my I-864EZ in all caps. I don't know if not using caps will cause an RFE. My guess is no, but maybe someone else here has experience with it.
