I have one question. Some of the documents are requested twice for different forms since you are sending all together do you still need to send multiple copies. For Example the form G-325A of intending immigrant did you attach two forms one for I-130 and another for I-485??

Thank you,

Debora

Thanks !!

You need the multiple copies or you will receive an RFE requesting them which will slow down the processing of your case.

Your preparations looking solid!

It looks so organised and sufficient. This will help many including myself :-)

Questions for you:

- I assume "winter travels" is some kind of holiday package, right?

- So, how you organised all these 4 forms/applications while mailing out? Did you put separate applications in separate envelopes or something?

- Joint bank stmt's, utility bills come every month. How many of those you sent?

- How you sent the check? Was it single check or separate for separate applications?

Thanks twonightowls !!

1. Winter travels is just the trip we took during X'mas and luckily I did not throw away all the receipts

2. I put everything in one envelope, as oth VJers have indicated that they disassemble everything to their own sorting way once they opened the package.

3. I sent as many as I could gather, I knew that some people here didn't necessarily send alot, but personally I want to have more instead of not sending enough

4. I separated the checks in case they send my files to different agents

Hope this helps! Let me know if I can help further. You should edit your signature so we could know what you are preparing as well.

2. So you put I-485, I-130, I-765, I-864 in separate small envelopes and then everything in one big envelope?

a- How many passport photos needed? Did you attach to the forms or put in a separate envelope?

b- In I-130, there are so many docs. Did you used any tabs or something to distinguish the multiple documents?

c-Do we need to make color copies or B/w will do?

Updated my signature :-)

2. I only use one big envelope to house all the paperwork, and use paper clips/fasteners to hold the separate forms together. But in reality they take those out right away in the mail room I believe, and put it in their own format.

a. I believe the intending immigrant needs 7, and the petitioner only needs 1. Check the list I posted earlier. Someone please chime in if I am incorrect.

b. i have seen other VJers use tabs , etc. if it helps you to organize it, why not ? Ultimately you want to be comfortable with what you are sending.

c. I believe B/W copies are sufficient.

Good luck!
