Gay marriages are to become legal in South Africa by the end of this year, after a Constitutional Court ruling that the current marriage laws were discriminatory. The BBC News website's Justin Pearce spoke to one young couple who are delighted at the news.

*shrug* The US has always had some interesting hypocrasies regarding sex and sexuality (topless bars are ok but breastfeeding in public is not - so its ok to view women as sex objects but not allow their breasts to fulfill their natural function in view of others).

I doubt it will change any time soon.

It is ridiculous that there are people that actually care whether or not somebody else gets married. ####### does it have to do with anyone else, anyway? As for the "decline of society", I think there are other, more pressing issues we could mobilize against- other than the "sodomites", lol!

Don'tcha know that once we allow people of the same sex to marry, people will want to start marrying their animals, their underage relatives (oh, wait, Jerry Lee Lewis already did that) and God knows what else will happen! :o:rolleyes:;)

Can't help but think marrying the person you love (same sex or not) is not in the same category as marrying an animal......

Yeah, a few years ago a friend of ours got a "Partner" visa, to go live with his boyfriend in Wales. That is really great. He is a sweet guy, and just wanted to be with the one he loves. Everyone should have that right, regardless of what someone elses religion recommends.

But you're missing the central point here: We're not ready for Armageddon yet. There are so many more souls to be saved. It's not that they want to discriminate or limit your freedom of choice or whatever. They want to save you. And me. And all the rest that either live less than decent lives or have less than decent thoughts. It's purely for the benefit of all the lost souls. You see it now? :lol:
