Hi we are ready to ship our ROC petitions. Dumb question though - can we put all the files in the brown color envelop you can find at grocery stores, and hand write the addresses or they have to be in the "priority mail" envelop? We are going to mail with priority 2-3 days one.

Thanks!

For the petitions that I have submitted to USCIS, I have put them in a brown clasp envelope, with the address printed/written on the outside. Then insert that envelope into the priority mail envelope, and address that envelope as indicated.

YMMV

:time:

Good luck on your immigration journey.

For my husband's ROC, I didn't even put all the paperwork in a seperate envelope. I did seperate the documents into different categories (financial statements, joint assets, pictures, etc), I placed everything in a priority mail flat rate envelope with a certified mail sticker. I got a receipt and a tracking number, and the packet was delivered the next day.

Good luck. :)

Since this is PO Box, do you agree that "signature-based" confirmatino is not available? what kind of confirmation you guys did?

When I mailed the packet, I used certified mail and I got a receipt with a tracking number. I was able to go online and see when the packet was delivered. The date on my husband's NOA was the same date that the packet was received as I checked it online.

I sent ours express, but still requested the return receipt request. It's the green card at the post office that you fill out your name and address on one side, and where you are sending it to on the other side.

I checked my tracking number, and it told me the day it was received, and who signed for it.

For my wife's ROC application, I put everything together in a manila folder with a fastener and threw the folder in a USPS priority mail envelope. Since im fairly close to the CSC, it only took 1 day to get there.
