Hey! I've been reading some posts and I saw lots of complaints about this VC being so slow on sending the NOA2? Specially January filers! Does anyone has the same complaint on any other 2012 months ?? I just filed now on June, I was hoping to be with my love late November!! :/

hola, a mi parecer es super lentooooo... mi novio y yo estamos esperando la noa2 desde enero,en abril nos pidieron mas pruebas de nuestra relacion y a principios de junio nos llego un correo donde nos explicaban que teniamos que esperar de 1 a 60 dias, osea yo supongo que antes del 6 de agosto debemos tener nuestra noa2.... paciencia paciencia..... esto es muy frustrante y desesperante pero no queda de otra que seguir esperando...

Scroll down, and you will see approved petitions from last August to Present. Many January and some February filers are getting approved. The realistic time frame has been 5-7 months for a very long time now. It is pretty much standard. I filed in April and will consider ourselves lucky if my fiancee and I can be together by November. This might be realistic if we were to get approved by the end of September. Even then, it would come down to a lot of crunch time. Good luck!

I hate to burst your bubble, but I think your time frame is highly unrealistic. If you just filed in June, you'll be just receiving your NOA2 in late November, most likely. Assuming your petition is approved with no RFEs, you still have to go through the background check at the NVC (which can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a year, depending on whether someone on any of the international terrorist or criminal watchlists has the same name as your beneficiary fiance). After that, the petition file goes to the fiance's consulate and they have to file more papers and get a medical exam before they can even have an interview. A more realistic timeline is probably 9 months to a year from your file date. That said, I've heard of a couple of cases put through in as little as 6 or 7 months (only once or twice, though), and I've heard of them taking almost a couple of years (if they have to go to AP or receive a NOID/NOIR). If I were you, I'd settle in, get used to waiting, and count yourself lucky if you've got an NOA2 by December. Best of luck to you!

I have seen two people finish their K1 journey in a little less than 5 months so anything is possible....but I would advise that do not make any concrete plans....because the average is 6-9 months...but have faith that anything is possible.

It is rare, but some people do get approved right under the 5 month mark. Many people you see getting approved within a couple of months or 3 are more than likely military personnel getting cases expedited.

Yeah, you can go ahead and anticipate at least the 6 month timeframe for getting your NOA2. Then it has to go through some other processes before getting to NVC, then NVC will send the package to your consulate. Once there, you will either schedule an interview or be given a date. All in all, looking at about 8-10 months before you get your visa in hand. Some people get lucky and go a little quicker, some people are not so fortunate and go a little slower. I hope you are in the first group.

I received my NOA1 Nov 30 2011. I got a RFE that I responded to. After they received it on May 9 2012 I got a email that said to wait 60 days from May 9 for a reply. After 60 days nothing came so I asked for a service request. Now I recieved a email that I have to wait another 90 days.

If the service request has not sped things up, I would contact my representative or senator at this point. There is no reason to wait a year from the date you sent your petition even if you did receive a RFE.

I just read csc approved an april filer! Vsc is still struggling through jan! When do they decide its time to bridge the gap and send more jan/feb to csc! Im a march filer. I wish there was more one can do instead of just waiting for a day that never seems to come!

Omg, Vermont is getting slower and slower everyday, are you noticing that?? It just jumped up to an average of 169 days.... one months behind the other offices!! They keep stating approval dates of jan 31st and feb 1srt and are just moving forward one bit, they have been going back and forth between end of Jan and beginning of Feb for over a week now....

They keep stating approval dates of jan 31st and feb 1srt and are just moving forward one bit, they have been going back and forth between end of Jan and beginning of Feb for over a week now....

It's ridiculous. I've been watching my time line, and it bumped up ONE DAY, then went from October 9 to October 17!

It's really making me upset. I wish we could have filed at CSC, haha.

I don't even call yet, I'm only an April filer, but still!

Vermont is still a nightmare..It's been this way since May and only been getting worse...we're at 183 days with no end in sight...Things are very bad there. But if you're a recent filer or even March or April it might recover for you...Jan and Feb filers are dealing with some of the worst average processing times ever seen there...It's not pretty...And every day just gets harder..

Unfortunately, with VSC's current pace, the cases appear to be taking longer than average right now for NOA2. After that, you still have to factor in passing through NVC, being received at the beneficiary's consulate, competing the Packet 3, and then passing the interview before you get the visa that allows you to come physically be with your USC fiance to get married. All in all, the average K-1 case takes approximately 9 - 12 months.
