my friend's wait for noa2 is entering its 5th month... no update whatsoever after rfe were sent last feb 2012... if without the update an early morning wake up means sadness... and finding nothing even in my friend's uscis account..everytime it was opened no updates.. no email from uscis.. patience is what is needed... sometimes one has to think of something else so this waiting- sadness can be forgotten but just for minutes--- it will surface again... it is really sad... stress and disease-- the immune system becomes weak if someone is under stress and the childhood herpes virus will come out affecting the nerves..

Yes, fill in your timeline. I was amazed at the accuracy of the predicted time here on VJ timeline.

We literally received our approval within a few days of the estimate here on VJ time line.

Regards,

Jesse

As everyone has said, fill in your timeline. You're looking at about 5-6 months at least, so if you submitted at the end of May / Start of June, you have a lot longer to wait

Also please change your details. Your case is NOT at Texas service centre. You have sent your petition to the Dallas lockbox. They then forward your petition to either the California or Vermont service centres. If you look at your NOA1 reference number, it'll tell you which service centre you have been routed to. CSC is California, and EAC is Vermont.

If you submitted at the end of May, then you're looking at NOA2 sometime in November or December this year. Then your case will be forwarded to the National Visa Center and then on to your consulate.

Once you receive your NOA2, most questions are better directed to your local regional sub forum as things become extremely country specific after NOA2. It would be wise to say hello over there now as they may have helpful advice and recommendations of things you can get sorted out before you receive your NOA2 as there could be some things that take a lot longer to get hold of.

Thank you very much, everybody, I filled in timeline as you suggest. And I got the estimated time of NOA2.

EAC is Vermont service center, right? Mine is EAC according to the NOA1.

So all that I can do is waiting. If USCIS has REF, they should email to my american fiance or mail to him, right?

Ni hao Jiajia,

Yes EAC represents the Vermont service center. If USCIS issues an RFE (Request for Further Evidence) they will send it to the petitioner (the USC).

Good luck!
