Hey everyone,

I just had my biometrics done June 27 successfully. Today July 14 me and my husband got a letter from immigration today stating our I-797C was transferred to California Service center. When we filed for AOS, we also filed for my EAD. Im really anxious to start working, is it possible to get my EAD very soon? its been 17 days after my biometrics and was wondering if since my AOS got transffered will it take longer to get my EAD?

Fill in your Timeline and it will show you an estimated date that you will receive EAD. It's from 60 - 70 days..Check to see what your timeline will show for you. Good Luck :)

Most get EAD within a month or so after case has been transferred. However, some don't get theirs before interview/decision.

It's fine to search for jobs and send out applications while you wait, you just can't start working until your EAD is approved. Some companies are willing to hire you and wait to have your 1st day of work until you have the EAD in hand if you're the person they're looking for.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days
