Hi Everyone, what is everyone's suggestion for getting insurance for both my parents (aged 58 and 62), we play on sponsoring them to come over withing the year.My wife and I make a combined income of $75,000. But are worried that insurance for my folks will be crazy expensive, what is best, private, cheapest etc

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Generally when a link posts with the 'removed' part in it it means one of three things: that site has previously been involved in spamming VJ, has repeatedly violated TOS by trying to advertise in the Forums after being advised that they are not allowed to post links if they gain any sort of benefit from the link, or the site itself has requested that their name not be posted on Visa Journey.I don't know which reason is the one involved here.

What state are you in? Check out the Anthem website and one of those compare insurance websites, that will give you an idea of the various cost options: remembering that the price quoted will assume healthy applicants. Unfortunately for that age you can expect to be paying something akin to a mortgage payment. Do either of your parents have a very marketable job skill?

Have your parents check with their local travel agency. They should be able to purchase travel insurance a LOT cheaper than any insurance. I lived in Europe and purchased it myself when traveling to the US and other countries and it was far cheaper than the insurance I must now purchase for the love of my life when she comes here later this year. Good luck

why don't you include them as dependents in your own health insurances. if they are not yet us citizens, i don't know if what health insurances can they get from the us govt for free.

Try calling your local welfare office and ask what they will be eligible for I think medicade and medicare for the 62 year old and the 58 I think will have to work untill 62 before they become eligible for any social programs also I beleive some of these

programs fall outside of your 864 some fall inside of it which will make you responsible so give welfare a call its what they are there for don't be shy and ask if nothing else they can point you in the right direction Ok then have a good day
