I'm in the same boat but I forgot a lot more than the letter of intent, I'm scrambling now to gather everything and send it but would it be best for me to send it to Vermont or to the Lockbox? I'm scared i'm just going to be denied instead of getting an RFE for I want to attempt to send what they need now before they process our application. ( Yes I know its not a guarantee)

Wait for the official RFE and instructions on how to reply. Sending blindly will not help you as the papers will never get to the right person--okay you have a very, very, very small chance, but it is not worth it. If you send the information now, you will in all likelihood have to resend it when the RFE arrives and will not have saved any time. Just relax, be patient, and respond to the RFE ASAP when it arrives.

Good luck,

Dave

This depends ENTIRELY on what was missing. For example in QueenE's case she is most likely to get a denial and NOT an RFE because she sent just the form and money, no supporting docs to in order to try and not waste the application money it's better to send it all now with a copy of her NOA1. However in the OP's case where there's just one document missing (that they're aware of at this time) then it's better to wait for the RFE because it's most likely going to be matched up.

Again, depends on the situation. While again, YES it is best to wait for the RFE, in some cases where denial is more likely than RFE, it's better to just send now with the NOA1 and hope for the best.

Agreed,

I was replying to the OP's specific case and not a generalized statement for all to heed. To their knowledge, and I am confident that have looked at their package extensively now, they are just missing the "intent to marry".

In QueenE's case, she admittedly left out "a lot more", without knowing what all she left out, it would be hard to speculate on her case.

I didnt send my letter of intent with the I-129F package, and didnt get an RFE either, i believe that answering the marriage intent question on the I-129f is good enough for them, but i did complete the letter of intent for the interview just in case, even dough they didn't ask for it!

I left out everything so I'm completely screwed! I just sent the application and the fee. I don't know how I completely missed the instructions provided by USCIS I've called and got two different answers wait for RFE/ send but there is no guarantee they match my application with my packet. I'm so sick of this entire process, instead of focusing and celebrating the upcoming birth of our baby, This whole feeling of impending doom (denial) is overshadowing everything! Once I graduate in May if this still going on, we have decided I will move back to Nigeria with the baby.

For the petitioner you really dont have to make, because you already sign @ the back of the form I-129F Show Your certification that you are legally able to marry your allien fiancee Within 90days.But for the Beneficiary, i think you have to make one and sign it.BTW,i just sent my Form I-129F for my fiancee a week ago and i received an email from USCIS acceptance comfirmation with Receipt notice with my Receipt number EAC ********* i dont know what it is. lol  i dont really know what is next. so goodluck for both of us....

from what i read EAC belongs to Vermont Service Center and WAC to California Service Center :)
