AP is approved but not my EAD

I have read that USCIS usually issues a combo card (EAD/AP). Is this always the case? I received an approval notice for my AP on July 11 but none for my EAD. My EAD is still on Initial Review. It's really frustrating, I need the EAD more than the AP. =/

Do not trust their website. We were still in initial review and the combo card arrived. Never received any notification about being approved until the card showed up in the mail. If I was a betting person I would say both AP and EAD will arrvie shortly as they are now on the same card.

Good luck,

Dave

Thank you for sharing your experience, I am less worried now :)

We first got the letter/certificate for AP Approval. Nothing about EAD as they somehow missed our biometrics appointment scheduling. We open a case, got biometrics done and the EAD card arrived almost 1-2 months later. It is a combo card and says "serves as advance parole..." at the bottom. I guess we can use either one if we choose to use AP.
