i am from romania, and i got my green card last year, my husband is a US citizen. In order to bring my parents for a visit, will they require an invitation? Has anyone been in this situation?

Thank you for any info you can give me.

You can send them an invitation letter, that's about it. They go and apply, then have an interview. Nothing else you can do. They need to show ties to home.

Hi

If you have not already...I would start reading here

http://www.visajourney.com/content/visitor-visa-guide

We have had my mothers sibliing out here a couple of times over the years and she is again recently visiting from Hungary.

She (mom)sent an invitation letter and filed a B1 Visitor Visa.

Though different countries I believe they will need proof the parents have strong ties and reasons to go back to the country before this visa will expire. Mom showed she would finance her trip and stay.

The sister gave a list of all her family back there in Hung and how she is still assisting in the family business. She listed her properties owned there...etc. Also we made sure her age was emphasized. She is an older lady. :innocent: And will not be looking to any future investments in the U.S. Strictly a pleasure visit with her sister.

Good Luck and I hope some of this helped
