Medical exam One month before Interview?

According to the Visa Hour Videos which I have watched recently on YouTube, the medical exam results are good for 6 months. They also said that your Visa expiration date is tied in directly with the Medical Exam Date, so if you are getting your medical one month ahead of your interview, then your visa will only be valid for 5 months instead of the usual 6. This is important if you are planning to delay your flight out of the country.

I had my medical last week of June. They said it will expire in 3months.

From what I've read, the medical report is valid for 6months for the point of entry into the States... My question is, is there a validity period between medical exam and interview date?? (Not sure if it matters, but I'll be at the interviewed at the consulate in Canada).

THANKS.

The only thing to remember is your visa will expire six months from the date of your medical, not the date of your interview.

That is Correct!

I'm ok with the visa expiring 6months from the date of my medical. I'm just concerned about my medical expiring before the interview... So I'm curious to know if the medical needs to be within a week or two or a month from the medical, OR, if it can be a few months.

Thanks, everyone.

I just got my visa today and the expiration date is Nov. 22, 2012. Had my interview Sept. 14 and done with medical on August 29 and was told that it will expire on Nov. 22. ( I had undergone sputum, must be the reason why it's only 3mos. )

Yup the sputum ate up some of that time the medical date goes back to initial medical at St. Luke's, as long as you enter the USA before the 22nd of November you have no issues.
