dear VJ members !

well on my wedding day i am actually on the VJ forum trying to get some opinions heheh .

anyways, my fiance and I are getting married today in Amman Jordan and she already have a tourist visa. So my plan all along was to 'attempt' to have her visit after we get back from our honeymoon (thailand). We'll be flying out from Jordan together and since i haven't applied for CR1 at this point i figured to take a shot at it to see if they let her in at POE. She does have a return ticket and an employment letter showing employment contract for the next school year ( fall to spring). She got the employment letter but she decided that she resigned so technically she's not employed anymore but never the less has that.

I know she will have to prove that she is going back home to Jordan once her visit is up, which is what we plan to do. The prove we have if confronted is the bank accounts, car registration, the employment letter at this point. I was also thinking that her pastor could wrote a letter to whom it concerns vouching for her to return ( yeah i know thats probably not solid but it may help? !)

anyways, wanted to get everyone's thoughts. my initial plan is to at least try without misrepresenting at POE and be honost if asked what you are doing in the states. She also has a brother in california that she will be visiting while visiting me as well.

thoughts and opinions are much appreciated !

I think a letter from the pastor is overkill, and may be seen as trying too hard.

If you don't want misrepresentation, then do not present an employment letter for a job she no longer has.

It would be misrepresentation to say that she is returning for a job, when she KNOWS she does not have a job.

Thanks for the advise guys ! our trip is coming up less than a week and am getting nervous on what would happen at point of entry.

i want my wife to be with me in the US to visit and we do want her to be truthful as much as we can without misrepresenting. I am just afraid that if the officer knows her husband is in the US then bye bye she goes ....we are truly will follow the rules and have her return but i guess we will see what will happen.

alot of people from friends tell me that she should just say she's visiting her brother and not mention anything about her husband which is half truth and thus misrepresenting.

any other advise ?

Thanks all !

Omissions and half-truths can become a dangerous game. US immigration officials don't take being tricked lightly. Play this game if you are willing to accept the risks of a lifetime ban for your wife. I would advise you not to play it.

We were honost at POE and she was granted 6 month visit. She will return to complete process from Jordan.
