Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Anyway, I am still observing what will happen to books and classic libraries in the next few years or decades while e-books, e-readers, indie authors and various technologies to self-publish are on the rise in contrast to the more narrow traditional publishing. I am a reader, not a writer, so I still get excited about the evolution of books a whole lot.

I haven't owned any Kindle device but I've checked out a few at Best Buy. I'm skipping it. Even the Kindle app for iPad seems a little loose and less user-friendly compared to the iBooks app which I prefer. I don't know who started it but I also appreciate some authors who give their e-books away for free at a limited time, books that normally cost between $0.99 and $14. Neato!

IMHO, if you are using it mostly for reading, an eReader is better than the iPad and other similar tablets. The e-ink is easier on the eyes and it doesn't wash out in the sunlight so you can read outside with no problem. Everyone likes the Kindle App better than iBooks, except the iSheep.

i won't buy a 'google-branded' tablet. I just refuse. So far, my 7 inch tablet count is up to 9.

I found one with android 4, a mini usb port, and a firewire port, with some memory card and a camera thingie. This one's a keeper, as I'm writing a portable video surviellence thingie for it.

Question for Kip. Will the mobile Ivy Bridge integrated Intel 4000 graphics run a 27 inch monitor at full hd resolution?

It will handle 1920 x 1080 with no problem.

HD 4000 is HD 4000 as far as I know. I mean a mobile cpu is down clocked because of heat and power issues but I don't believe the on die graphics are any different from their desktop counter part.

I'm on the fence between grabbing one of those laptops I linked to earlier or building a new desktop. The Asus G75 has room for 2 drives and it is easy to access. I could do one ssd and one conventional for storage. But the laptop is $1250 without the ssd. For that amount I could build a nice desktop.
