my husband is getting ready for the I-864 for our kids to come,i was confused about the household income.he put my income on this form,my question is do i need to filed I-864A also separately?we dont know if I-864 is just information of my husband income and then i have to filed the I-864A for my income,but how is this work if we filed our taxes joint? some input please...

From the above, I assume your husband is the petitioner.

The I-864A is a document that you, as part of your husband's household, can sign so that your income is included for the purpose of making up the qualifying minimum necessary to support your kids here.

In a simpler manner, the I-864A is used when a co-sponsor is also a member of the household. You will only need the I-864A if your husband's income does not meet the minimum required by the USCIS. It is a way for the two of you to pool your incomes together, for the purpose of sponsoring your kids immigration process.

If you are the main petitioner, then you fill out the I-864 and your husband would fill out the I-864A, if your income should not be sufficient.

one more thing :) what im gonna put on the tax return amount that me and my husband filed a joint in our taxes when we have to file both I-864 and I-864A and have to submit our tax return because it filed jointly? thanks again

If you filed a joint tax return, enter the amount of the return as shown in the transcripts. When all documents are put together it will be evident that the tax return combines both income amounts further supporting that you are indeed a household.
