Henia, it is very confusing because the rules change depending on who you are and how much VP likes you hahaha.

I don't make any rules  You are free to post any way you want and I can't stop you... just like I can comment on any posts and I'm well within my rights too.

I was just pointing out how you say something affects others. You obviously already know how your posts come off to others and you don't care so there is no need to continue this discussion. :star:

I am not Muslim, don't need to abide by Muslim rules or holidays.....

I never said you were or should... Sarah asked what comment I was referring to so I posted it.

No, that ramadaan reminders are banned. :P

Ramadan reminders are not banned but I think its safe to say that you are here fighing with members with your own free will. I have seen many many vocal members stay quiet this month. Its up to you what you want to do during your holidays and its the same members giving reminders that constantly come here and fight. I celebrate my holidays for my faith not because of what people on VJ tell me to.

If someone can't remember on their own that its Ramadan and they shouldn't be fighting, then that is on them. I am really offended by Henia's comparison of Christian holidays to Muslim ones. You don't hear a peep from me or others during those holidays expect maybe 1 well wishing thread. In respect for members of other religions, I don't push mine on anyone nor do I quote scripture in here. I

I don't see why this has to be a Christian-Muslim thing? Are we in the freakin Middle East? Give me a break!

First of all I'm not fighting with anyone. I commented on a post.

It's funny to me the ones who stand out against "post monitoring" are the ones at other times involved in it.

JP, you are forever calling for others to not tell someone else how to post but here you are telling me how to comment and post. It's really just a vicious circle. Either we're all adults and don't need to be told how to post or we're not.

I don't see anything wrong with pointing out that someone's statement may be taken in hateful terms. If you feel the same way about my comments that's fine too. We really don't have to keep going back and forth about it.

I didn't say anything about christians and it wasn't my intent to bring that up. (F)

I'm saying for people not to worry about how others freaking post and to get a life. I could care less about your posts.

Too many Ramadan reminders? Hmmm well will there also be too many Christmas reminders I wonder?

Excuse me? ####### is this? The person that originally made the comment about Ramandan reminders is MULSIM so why do you have to make such a tasteless comment?. I am not muslim, VP is. Maybe she should refrain from fighting. I also don't tell people what to do on VJ when Christmas and Easter rolls around. I don't post prayers and I don't make threads about Jesus.

That is meant as joke, to lighten up the air in here...but anyway. That is why there is laughing emoticon by the comment. No one said you abide by any rules...you do as plz...but since I am Muslim, it is in my nature to remind God in everything I do. I think I donnot offend anyone with my posts, and if I do I am sure they will let me personally. ;)

But it is unfortunately lately, well really since I have come onto VJ I have noticed this, it comes in spruts...but one cannot just *express* themselves without the orginal post being torn to shreds. I mean I am all for freeedom of speech...I can take the good and bad...but come on...let us also practise some kindness too! Kindness is the highest form of charity!

Snaps, I maybe I should just post a warning label on all my posts...does anyone have that Post manual handy for me to read yet?

Oh please you knew exactly what you were saying. There is no need to make a connection here between Muslim holidays and Christian ones. You want others to practice kindness while making such rude comments?

Like you just admitted, you just did the same thing with me.

But you did it first

Your statements appear hateful, so maybe a lil less worrying about Sarah, and a lil more attn on your own posts wouldn't go amiss. Physician heal thyself!!!

Oh and I linked two of your statements in red cos I'm a huuuuuuuuuuge fan of irony ;)
