Hello Vjers,

I taught today was going to be one of the happiest days of my life but turned out worse. I was approved at the embassy last month and my pickup date was today. Got to the embassy with all smiles on my face. little did i know i was going to be questioned again. This is my story. When i was a kid my mom wanted me to come visit with a non immigrant visa. She paid a friend of hers to do the process for me down here in Gh in 2004. She did it. I Got the Visa but something was wrong. My name was totally changed.I dont even remember the name. My mum also didnt know the name. My mum got bored and told me not to come with that identity. She said she was going to help me come with my real identity. this woman kept the passport and didnt give it to me. So my mum filed. When i started my process last year my mum told me to tell anyone who was interviewing me the truth. Before that i had to go to the court of law to do affidavit of support to add to my documents. since i didnt know the name that well the document stated thatTHE NAME GIVING TO ME FROM BIRTH WHICH IS THE NAME I'M USING RYT NOW IS MY REAL NAME and ANY OTHER NAME GIVING TO ME APART FROM MY REAL NAME IS NOT MY NAME. I presented this document on my first interview Last year september. Can you believe i wasnt asked any question about this till today which is suppose to be my pickup date. 2DAY The Lady CO asked me IF I HAVE APPLIED WITH A DIFFERENT NAME BEFORE. I said YES BUT I DIDNT TRAVEL WITH IT. She asked WHEN. I replied WHEN I WAS A KID. she asked me THE YEAR I WAS BORN. I GAVE IT TO HER. she then left me and went to discuss my case with a lady in the back office. She came back with a immigration book telling me that she is checking to see if she could help right then but couldnt. Guess she felt my pain. She then told me THEY KNEW EVERYTHING. She told me she liked the fact i told the truth and said it will work in my favour. if i had lied SHE WOULD DIMISS MY CASE and refuse me the visa. She then went on to say she has seen worse cases than this and this is no case. The only reason is that its out of her hands but will be sent to Washington DC for AP and that they will call me. I WAS TOLD It will take time. 3months to 6months tops but i've heard it can take more than that and no one can help you. I'm very sad but what can i do. i live this To GOD. I know he will take control of this. I just wanted to share my story with you guys. I Wish everybody the best in all their process.

Thanx guys. I really appreciate the support. Having to wait is better than they telling me i will never enter the U.S to be with my mum and brothers. 1 thing i realized was she didnt give me my documents back. she gave me a sheet of paper to get a police report done on that name and wait for their call. I didnt know the name so i asked her what it was. She gave me the name and the date of birth. i was like wow u guys have all that. When she said she new everything. i made reference to the affidavit of support and said that i brought it on my 1st interview. she said to me if they had brought this case up then, they would have putting me on a waver and that could go anyway. The lady CO told me if they are done they will call me to come to the embassy and give me another pickup date. Hope it goes through.
