:guides: and the step-by-step K-1 visa guide. There you will find good information and tips about types of evidence that is necessary to give to USCIS documenting a bonafide relationship. Couple photos can be an integral piece of the evidence necessary to give to the USCIS, What other substantial evidence do you have?

Good luck on your visa journey.

A lack of pictures wont' sink your petition, although it might raise eyebrows

pictures are secondary evidence. Focus on primary evidence of meeting in the past 2 years

Good luck

If I were you I would wait till next year when you have pictures together. I would not want to risk filing now and getting an RFE with no evidence to submit, it would just makes things complicated if you had to file again.

On the other hand if you do have pics from the first meeting that you can submit if you get an RFE then go for it, otherwise I would hold off.

For the petition I would not worry about it. Submit the evidence that you have meet within the last two years per the petition's instructions. That is all you really have to do to get the petition approved. Continuing relationship evidence will be needed at the Embassy stage during the interview. I have heard that the PI put more weight on pictures then most. However, if your finace is at the interview that would carry a lot of weight. Given the current timelines, I would file the petition now and if possible meet in the near future and take some photos. You can meet anywhere in the world. For the actual visa you will have to prove that the relationship is legit and not for immigration purposes. Since you are applying to the PI, do you make over 125% of the poverty guidelines? If not, then waiting until you do or geting married would be the better course as the IO does not have to accept a co-sponsor for the I-134.

Good luck,

Dave

I did read what she wrote again as I skimmed it the first time and didn't see that she wanted the photos as proof of having met. Tried to delete my comment but as I'm new here, don't know how to so just left it... -_-
