That's a good point! I went through the I-94, green card, and naturalization processes and just became a citizen in February. They must start to have a giant file on me by now which surely would help them figuring out all the details they need.

Congrats to you, that is wonderful and that is how it should be for all folks wait (45 day waiting period)!!!

You filed around the same time as myself and I too was routed to CSC. I find this whole process VERY frustrating! You can't calculate anything with the USCIS PERIOD!! Just when you find hope some strange and quick approvals happen and sets us all off....

The Gov't is ridiculous, I think of all the people who have been unemployed and laid off working for the Gov't is a shame. Locations shut down and petitions transferred. Mean while we have an economic crises going on, I see plenty of people in need of work to provide for their families. They need to give some folks their jobs back and re open more service centers. So the people of the US can find jobs and feed their families, at the same time they can unite families in waiting... Sad :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: gotta love our gov't

I agree with you that this should be the normal wait period. When I called them today (I was not believing the email or case status online and thought they gave me a wrong receipt number that would have had an earlier filing date), the rep told me that I was still within processing times and that my case was still pending. So I asked what receipt # was associated with my file and I had the correct one. He then went on to check his online system which is updated quicker than their regular system and confirmed the approval. He was just as surprised as I was of the short time-frame!

I mean, if they can't even get their systems to work together, how can we expect them to process case within a reasonable amount of time? :bonk:

I think I just got lucky.
