One VJ member theorized that the processing in CSC involved putting glue on the application folders, throwing them up to the ceiling... When they fell, they considered processing them...

If this is true, perhaps they have switched to a stronger glue???

Honestly, there is no excuse or rational explaination for why Vermont can often turn around and approve a K-1 application faster than CSC can mail out a NOA1... Don't bust your brain trying to figure them out.

Double check the guides, send in your application, and hope for CSC's best effort... Good luck on your journey!

I'm still waiting, mail off your application and have seat, you are welcome to share my popcorn! :pop:

Wouldn't it be great if there were enough members of this form who lived in CA that could picket out in front of the CSC office. I'm still trying to think of some sort of "catchy" slogan we could yell. Anyone have any ideas??? It probably wouldn't get anything done any quicker, but at least we could keep ourselves "occupied" while we wait, right? Right???

I have heard that several years ago (before I joined VJ) that is exactly what happened. I believe CSC was running even slower at the time.

Unfortunately those times are probably just good guidelines since the randomness of the approvals varies so much. And, correct updating of timelines would help a lot. I just noticed that one of today's NOA2 posters has a discrepancy between their signature NOA1 date and their timeline NOA1 date - it's off by 7 days - that doesn't help with the accuracy of the statistics.

 I was just wondering if the crack-down on illegals has reduced their workforce and increased the processing time. <_<

The service centers have nothing to do with USCIS's "crack-down on illegals". Service centers process paperwork - they don't enforce the law.

The slowdown in processing dates is a result of the IMBRA fiasco and the effects are still being felt. Most March filers waited close to 150-175 days. Slower than things are normally but faster than in the past when it took 9 months. Hang in there and your day will come.

Kitkat1,

I am sorry that you took what I wrote in a manner that was not my intention to lay before you.

I am aware of the functions of the CS’s

I have just now become aware of the reason you see nothing slightly funny about what was written, you or your fiancé(e) are a resident of Mexico and I have touched a nerve.

My apologies to everyone residing or engaged to someone residing in Mexico who may have been offended.

Chris-n-Veronica, Thank you for making my comment clear. I am glad that you realized it was Ron and not Sharon writing

I wasn’t venting as I have nothing to yet vent about.

Future attempts at adding a few smiles will be thought of but not acted upon, future post will be of a positive nature only dealing with what is thought pertinent and to everyones benefit.

Ron
