Interview email arrived today, a question

The NVC received our final paperwork on July 2, our case was closed on July 9 and today, July 12 we received the email on my wife and step son's Embassy interview for Moldova on August 17.

As my stepson is going into 4th grade, I was hoping for an interview sooner. WE would like him to have a few weeks to adjust to the USA before starting school. I have emailed the Embassy, asking for a quicker date.

What are the odds of getting the date moved up ?

Thanks

eh - you have a chance ..

wait one week from 'interview date set' email receive date,

then contact the IV Unit in Moldova via email,

and ask for an earlier appointment date.

They may not grant it, but if you don't ask, you have no chance.

It is always possible to get an earlier interview date at this stage, but you must ask for it .

It is solely at the discretion of the IV Unit - they will study their calendar and let you know.
