Just curiosity. Still in the process of filing remove conditions on green card. Once one gets the 10 year green card through marriage, is the date on the card starts from the date that it's approved or it starts from the date that the 2 year green was obtained? Also, they said 3 years, you can apply for US citizenship. Is it 3 years from the 2 years green card? Let's use 10/2012 as the first starting month and year as example.

Hi, the date on the 10 year card is pretty much when it's approved. The three years is calculated from the date on the card, where it says "resident since." For instance, mine is 03/02/09 the day of my AOS interview/approval. I was free to apply for Citizenship in the 90 days preceding 03/02/12. I chose to apply last month...

One year past the ROC. The "resident since" date doesn't change on the 10 yr card. 3 years from that date.

Hello, you are eligible to file for citizenship 3 years after you became a resident (obtained a green card)

regardless if you have 2 years card, or 10 years, the residency date does not change, it will say (resident since ------------), this is the date you use as your reference and you count 3 years after that date

lets say you got here on 10/19/2009, then 3 years would be 10/19/2012.. You can file 90 days before 10/19/2012. you can use date calculator and put the 10/19/2012 date and deduct 90 days, this is the earliest date USCIS will accept your petition, we advise to just send it around 80 days not 90 to make sure it wont be rejected

I guess this resolve any confusion.

Hope that helps
